The Maryam Women’s Services (MWS), part of the South London Muslim Association (SLMA), is dedicated to supporting women through guidance, education, and wellbeing.
Based in the Maryam Centre, we provide a safe, welcoming, and faith-rooted environment where women can pray, learn, connect, and grow together.
The Maryam Centre is home to our women’s prayer hall and serves as a hub for women’s programs and gatherings.
Our caring reception team ensures a respectful, comfortable, and supportive environment for all women — whether attending daily prayers, classes, or community events.
We offer a professional, confidential counselling service exclusively for women of all backgrounds.
Our qualified female therapists provide one-to-one sessions in a secure and understanding setting, helping women navigate emotional and personal challenges such as:
Stress, anxiety, or depression
Relationship or family issues
Bereavement or trauma
Self-confidence and personal development
Each session follows a non-judgmental, faith-sensitive approach, ensuring every woman feels heard, respected, and supported.
The Maryam Women’s Services also organises educational visits and workshops for schools, colleges, and community groups.
These sessions introduce visitors to Islamic values, women’s roles in faith and society, and the welcoming spirit of the Muslim community.
